Instant Messaging is a powerful means of communicating messages as well as presence information to mobile subscribers. Presence information allows the subscriber to declare their availability or status information to other subscribers.

Peer-to-Peer Messaging - This functionality allows the subscriber to send and receive messages.

Presence Updates - This functionality allows the subscriber to communicate the availability and status information to the other authorized subscribers.
